First I’d like to start off by why is too much screen time not good for you?
As we all know Playing games on your phone, laptop, tablet or PlayStation is really fun but we also need to use it wisely. One good way of doing that is checking if your addicted, a way to check that is simply have no screens for a day then 2 days and so on if the first day is really hard for you that might mean your addicted. Of course we are not saying to not have screens at all because sooner or later we are going to have to use them in work or school. But the trick is to use it wisely, like let’s say you had your phone for a whole day and instead of using it wisely you spend 6 hours on it. Now spending 6 hours a day on one screen is way too much.
How many hours is okey to be on your phone, laptop or other.
There isn’t a maximum for parents but there is for kids, now because of corona virus we are having online school and that counts as a screen too. When you do your homework there is paper work but there’s also homework you got to do on computer. We are not saying to not do your homework because it’s on screen we are saying to If you have homework on a screen than you should spend less time on other screens like your phone. I’d say if you have more screens then your phone like a laptop or tablet you should have 1 hour on tablet 1-2 hours on laptop or computer and 1 hour and 30 minutes on your phone that is still a lot but those are maximum for a child under 18. You are probably wondering why parents can use screens more than you. The reason why is because you are still growing and they mostly are not ,you have a young body and it needs the sun just like plants to grow, and if you’re on your screens 24 for seven then that is not healthy.
Social media
Social media can also cause being on your phone or other screens to much we get dragged into the virtual world and forget about the real world, and by the time we come back to the real world we forget we have been in the virtual world for too long. There are some social media’s it says an age limit on and there is a reason for that. Some social media’s aren’t too good for kids but some kids don’t listen and still download it. Being in the virtual world too long can also cause being tired and getting annoyed a lot. If we are in the virtual world for too long we can get addicted to it. How? We don’t want to get out of the virtual world and when it gets to shouting when your phone is getting away that might seem you’re addicted.
Cyber Bullying
Cyber bullying is a big thing on the social medias now people are getting to mean and being rude to people they don’t even know. But there’s one thing everyone knows if a person says something really mean to you remember that person would never tell you that face to face. You see on the internet we can say mean things but we wouldn’t say it face to face. Some cyber bullying cause’s to killing yourself which is a hot topic so remember don’t take these people serious because if they knew you or didn’t they would still NEVER say that face to face to you. You might start to bully when you have been bullied before but remember NEVER bully because imagine if that was you.
