Why do I sketch?
Sketching is someway a big part of my life, it’s a way of expressing feelings without really saying it in words. It’s something I find great passion in and love doing, I sketch when i’m feeling all types of emotions! Whether i’m happy, sad ,anxious, worried or normal. Same as writing article’s or writing in general I feel very relaxed when i’m drawing and enjoy sketching.
I try to make as if each of my work’s has a story, a meaning behind it. Some may find my sketches harsh but really it’s a way of expressing emotions onto paper, yes most of my recent ones aren’t jolly but it show’s there’s more to what is seen by the human eye. I try making my drawings stand out in a way it really talk’s to people and show’s them exactly what I felt while drawing these.
When did I start to sketch and how?
I started to sketch at 2020 we were in lockdown and I didn’t have much to do, I was never good at art in school but decided to give it a try, I have been drawing since 2020 and the start of 2021 I only drew cartoons like Winnie the pooh, stitch and any Disney cartoon character. At the time I was horrible at realism so never tried to improve it. Near the middle of 2021 I tried doing realism and express my feelings with it. I have been drawing realism and emotions ti’ll now and here are some of my work.
These are my first three ever realism emotion drawings.
What do these sketches mean/represent?
The one on the left top corner shows how we can sometimes get trapped in our own thoughts where we have negative thoughts and cant get rid of them. The one below that one is a similar one,it means feeling trapped, people with anxiety tend to feel trapped all the time by all of the overthinking thoughts that they can’t get rid of. And lastly the biggest one shows how we tend to hide our emotions,a lot of us may show were happy but may suffer deeply on the inside, this also shows we never know what’s going on in someone else mind or life.
Here are three of my recent realism drawings and more are coming soon!
