Who uses drugs the most in Ireland?

Teens in the age of 15 and 18, the most common drug amongst teens are: alcohol, cannabis (marijuana) and tobacco. Teens take these drugs to feel better because someone dares them or for fun.Its is actually really terrfing for these young teens to be taking drugs! They can get addicted easily and that can ruin their future. Most teens take drugs in groups so a basically and group of friends go somewhere private so no one will see them so then they can take the drugs. Some teens do not want to take drugs because they know what damage drugs make especially to teens.

Is smoking a drug?

The answer to that is yes it might not seem like it but smoking and cigarettes are also a drug. Nicotine is an addictive substance inhaled through cigarette smoke. It gives the initial rush or calm when you first inhale. Addiction to nicotine is as pervasive and difficult to stop as other drugs.  Smoking is very easy to get addicted to because when you start the body feels like it needs more. Some teens also smoke , most with electric cigarettes its very common for teens in the age 15 and 18 to vape. Your aloud to vape legally from 21+ but some countries 18+.

When can you , smoke and take alcohol?

In Ireland you have to be 18 to smoke and vape in some countries 21 , though in Ireland teens from 15 vape which is absolutely horrible!  You also have to be 18 to buy and take drugs.

Different types of drugs:

Some teens take their parents or siblings medicine and use that as drugs, some medicine if you take when you don’t need it is worse than drugs it really does depend. It suggested that cannabis is by some distance the most popular drug in Ireland, with a lifetime prevalence (ie a proportion of the entire population who have used it at some stage in their lives) standing at 27.9%, 7.7% of those in the last year.
