This has been a big problem since really ever. As you may know I have two dogs. And those two dogs do need exercise quite a lot. So we go to parks, beaches etc. But there’s never any bins to throw out the feces our dogs leave behind. This for some people cause that they have to leave the feces or throw it somewhere in the bushes. First thing the bag we use to put the feces in is very bad for our planet. And if we leave the feces on the floor, well I think you can tell where the problem is there. But some people counting my family have to carry it all the way home. Which is absolutely ridiculous.
People building beautiful parks but forget about the dogs residence
Why build more parks and benches and stuff. When there’s never a bin in sight! This also can cause people to throw rubbish out I the open and this leads back to climate change. In my opinion when starting a park or opening a beach or a path leading down to the beach.
There should be a demand to add bins. At Least 4 in each park or beach, but this shouldn’t even be addressed. We are so far into the economy this should be a priority and not something people have to whine and complain about. I do not understand how we have flip phones now but there’s problems with adding bins to parks and beaches.
Plenty of bins on main streets, but none in sight of public parks
This is one of my pet peeves. I am not saying none of the parks in Ireland have no bins but sadly most don’t. In the area in live in, there is a little park with benches and trees for picnics or just to sit down and relax. Not like people bring dogs there very often as there’s barely any grass. But there are bins. This is really helpful for the people staying there for maybe a little snack or drink can throw them away once they’re done.
One of the other things that annoy me is there’s plenty of bins in the main streets of towns. Which is understandable for throwing out rubbish. But I think those bins could do a lot more in public parks. There is a new park my town built, it has brilliant bridges and beautiful scenarios same as a nice smooth path for bikes or skateboards. Yet the whole walk of the park is around 3 km and only 1 bin. This is literally ridiculous, 3 km one way and the other 6.
Imagine let’s say your dog did a feces and you have to walk all the 6 km to throw the bag of feces away. And then there’s people complaining about feces everywhere in parks. It doesn’t shock or surprise me. This is something that is going to happen as most people don’t have the patience to carry around a bag of feces for 6 km.
So to conclude this article. I think it should be a priority for there to be bins at parks beaches or anywhere where dogs go for walks.
