If I were a mother I’d tell my child…

If I were a mother and had a child. I think once it would be around the age of 10 or 11 maybe? I would tell it quite a lot of things. Yet this is just on of the things which I would tell it, and in my opinion one of the most important ones.

Stop caring about others opinion

One of the most important things I think I’d tell it would be. To not care what others think as overrated as it sounds. And as hard as it is, to just not care. Especially people who we are not friends with yet put us down. What I always like to think and it’s what my own mom told me is.

“Don’t take criticism from someone you wouldn’t take advice from” I think that’s really important.

Just enjoy life while you can

As in our lives they’re will always be people who will do everything they can do bring us down. To make us feel bad about ourselves. But what I try and do, is only really care about the people I care about. So only care what your true friends think or family members. But also with some balance, don’t take everything so personally, take it with some distance.

For example let’s say you and a friend are having a blast on a ride at a carnival. But get dirty stares from teenagers. Do not care what those teenagers say or do, just enjoy the moment that really matters. Which is you having fun with your friend.

And just enjoy it don’t think “Oh what if someone will say this or that”, just enjoy it.

Always ask for help

Its hard for some, I know, but I wouldn’t want me child feel safe. Telling me things. How they feel, what they’re feeling. So we can talk it out. I would want a healthy and trustworthy relationship with my child.
