What is Debate and how does your school one work??
Debate is a social meeting. It is a extracurricular activity hosted in my school, where the room is divided into two. One side is agreeing one side is not. The person hosting the debate will pick a question or statement for example. Mixed schools are better than all girls schools. One of the rooms side is for the statement the other is against the statement.
The thing is even if you are for a statement but your on the against side you have to try your best to make up good arguments.
Debate is all about arguing and showing your opinion in hopes of winning. It is a great place to socialise and maybe even make new friends!
Why do I like Debate?
I really like Debate for multiple reasons. First off I think it’s a really fun time to spend with your friends after school. I also think it’s a great way of showing your opinion on topics. Lastly I think anybody with social anxiety should go,as I think it would really help them step out their comfort zone. To talk to the public and to a little bit of strangers.
